چکیده
Conventional drinking water treatment is inefficient in removing a large fraction of known organic micropollutants (OMPs). Ozonation combination with granular activated carbon promising approach for addressing this issue.

Removal of natural organic matter from aqueous solutions by electrocoagulation
Natural organic matter (NOM) affects some qualitative parameters of water such as color. In addition, it can deteriorate the performance of water treatment process including coagulation, adsorption, and membranes. NOM also reacts with chlorine in the chlorination process and may form disinfection by-products. The present study was carried out in laboratory-scale in a batch system using a cylind...

Simultaneous removal of nitrate ([Formula: see text]) and natural organic matter (NOM) from drinking water using a hybrid heterotrophic/autotrophic/BAC bioreactor (HHABB) was studied in continuous mode. The HHABB consisted of three compartments: ethanol heterotrophic part, sulfur autotrophic part, and biological activated carbon (BAC)-part (including anoxic and aerobic sections). Experiments we...

ABSTRACT Introduction: Due to environmental and human health concerns related to humic acid (HA), mainly leading to disinfection by-products creation, removal or reduction of this matters is a necessary for drinking water suppliers. Based on resistive economy map road and move to self-sufficiency, it is necessary to produce our need in water treatment industry. One of the main co...
